 Recommendation of a great book

Here is a book I can highly  recommend to anyone interested in offshore sailing. Plenty of useful tips for preparation and tactics in storm sailing. A lot of examples of actual storm-passages and interviews.  40 or so pages are about the Sydney-Hobart 98.

The title: Surviving the storm, coastal and offshore tactics by Steve and Linda Dashew.

ISBN 0-9658028-9-2

And here an example out of this book:

Another look inot our Arctos. Can't wait to call her home.

I love this tradition to refer to  a sailing boat as a she.
